Akure Youth Media warmly congratulates the great sons of Akure Kingdom who were honoured by the Ondo State Government as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations marking 50 years of Ondo State. The recognition of these distinguished Akure legends reflects their outstanding contributions to public service, leadership, nation building, and the development of Ondo State and Nigeria. Those honoured include the late Commander Michael Bamidele Otiko, former Military Administrator of Ondo State; the late Hon. Justice Timothy Akinola Aguda; the late Barrister (Prince) Julius Adedeji Adegoroye; the late Alhaji Yayi Akorede; Pa (Dr) Reuben Famuyide Fasoranti, OFR, CFR; His Royal Majesty, Oba Samuel Oloyemisi Falae, CFR, GCON; and His Excellency, Ambassador Omolade Oluwateru. Akure Youth Media also acknowledges and appreciates the fatherly leadership of His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr) Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II, CFR, JP, the Deji and Paramount Ruler of Akureland, whose support and goodwill continue to strengthen unity and pride among the people of Akure Kingdom. This recognition further affirms the enduring legacy of Akure sons and daughters in the growth and progress of Ondo State. As Ondo State marks its 50th anniversary, Akure Youth Media calls on youths across Akureland and Ondo State to draw inspiration from the lives of these heroes.
